A house without intertwining spaces doesn’t feel like home. We at AttiQayyam + Associates believe to make spaces the not only offer shelter but help in creation on comfort, connection and long lasting memories.
Spatial Planning and Concept:
An Architect’s biggest challenge in designing two unit houses in a plot size of 50’ x 90’ is how to connect and disconnect spaces at the same time. The client demanded a connected basement and ground floor for personal utilization while renting the first floor. The entire configuration of the house has revolved around this philosophy. While incorporating the functional aspects of any residential building, the house has interior open spaces that create a double heighted effect. This not only facilitates adequate wind flow but result in supplementing multiple visual connections. Use of interior landscaping as a center view point facilitates integration with nature creating a positive impact on human psychology.
Design and Geometrical Configuration:
The house exhibiting shades of grey and red creates a canvas for architectural elements solidifying identity of natural materials. The light plays with the interior and exterior throughout the day, as a dynamic expression of the building’s character. The clean lines and elongated façade make the house feel more spacious, while the huge rooms and large spans make the interior more open, airy and well ventilated. The slight tilt of the façade makes the house stand out from its surroundings signifying the design style of our firm.
