Residence F-8, Islamabad a plot size of 50‘-0”x90’-0” is one of the projects done by the Attiqayyam associates with the interconnected spaces to incorporate the comfort, connection, and cozy living. Integration of privet and open spaces at the same time connecting the three floors of the residence while making it spacious was a big challenge.
The entrance foyer provides access to the central space of the residence beside the look below the surface where common sitting being adjusted to enjoy the spacious feel of residence as well to make connectivity with the basement. The residence configures the big lounge placement on the front along with the lawn on one side attached to raised dining space. Basement floor incorporating the swimming pool below the uplifted dining space in front of the living.
A balanced color palette of wood, polished stones, black metal surface, and coffee latte paint finishes are designed in the interior of the residence to maintain the spacious character. Wooden interior ceilings and marble floorings give a contrast to the viewer with intricate details of groves on the travertine claddings on walls.
The facade of the building composed of the dynamic volumes and shapes with the interesting combination usage of concrete and brick finishes. Angular line in the bold volumes thus helps to break the solidity of the frame with the infused voids on certain spaces. Front mass plays the role of giving a certain identity to the house by unifying the terrace and sitting space of the room forming a single volume.
