Spatial Configuration:
The use of central courtyard exhibiting a fountain both amalgamates and separates the main functional areas of the building creating a virtual bond between interior and exterior. The solid void interplay along with use of perforated jaali’s in the exterior is a representation of different visual experience at day and night time. While in the interior spaces, these perforated walkways and alley’s respond to cultural, social, religious and climatic boundaries. Use of double heighted spaces in the interior not only create a spiritual aura but also satisfies the functional aspect of architecture to facilitate wind circulation and overall lowering room temperatures.
